It has been a busy month for me, due to working so well with the Abergavenny Museum I have been moved to Monmouth Museum to try to reduce the barriers people with additional needs face when visiting the museum.

Karin took me for a tour of Monmouth Museum and explained that one of the things and explained that one of things they struggle with is interpreting the Lord Nelson collection they have.

Many people who visit, ask why they have so many Lord Nelson items on display. It's a long story and maybe I'll get the chance to tell you some time!

One idea Karin and myself had was to have a family day at the museum for people with additional needs so I have linked in with Magic Parent and Carer Network and am waiting for further communication from them.

I have also been in contact with Monmouth Comprehensive School to see if they would like to be involved in the planning and running of the family day.

Karin and I are also keen to promote the museum loan boxes, as many people are not aware what they are and that they can use them and take them out from the museum.
