period Corwen Sports Pavillion was identified as the site of the modular changing places facility. Corwen Town Council owns Corwen Pavillion.
Chester Composites Ltd was appointed as the contractor for this work in July 2024.
Work will begin in Autumn 2024 with completion early in 2025.
What is a Changing Places facility?
The Changing Places Consortium says "Standard
accessible
Accessible means something is easy for people to use or join in with. For example: Accessible writing means the writing is easy to read and understand.
toilets (or "disabled toilets") do not provide changing benches or hoists and most are too small to accommodate more than one person. Without Changing Places toilets, the person with disabilities is put at risk, and families are forced to risk their own health and safety by changing their loved one on a toilet floor."
In order to be called a Changing Places toilet, use the logo and be registered on the site, a Changing Places facility must meet the minimum requirements set out on their
