Derek Adams - Head of Operations
Derek began his career with Mencap in 1991 as a community link worker in the Cynon Valley. One of the longest-serving staff members, Derek has led our advice and information services for 15 years. As Head of Operations, he has responsibility for the Wales Learning Disability A learning disability is to do with the way someone's brain works. It makes it harder for someone to learn, understand or do things. helpline, its regional caseworkers, the Compass project in Carmarthenshire, and is our early years lead.
